Off the beaten path but ended up being the best meal of the trip! Casual and authentic Italian vibe decor that puts you in the mood for an amazing meal. We got the caprese salad, TWO orders of the best meatballs ever (because one was not enough to enjoy) and shared the orchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe. Everything had perfect flavor and was truly delicious! Do yourself a favor and keep off the crowded main street and head to Tony & Elaine’s!

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday with out a reservation and decided to explore the neighborhood during our 30 minute wait (lesson learned - make a reservation). We’re so glad we came back because the food was excellent. The meatballs are to die for - some of the best I’ve ever had. Our pasta dishes were perfect and the fresh bread was so good. We will visit this place every time we are in Boston - it was truly a delight.

I quite enjoyed going to this place! It wasn’t wow wow but it was good and yummy! I enjoyed lobster ravioli - they were very fresh and really loved the taste of it. Fried calamari were good with a great addition of spicy pepper. Mozarella was perfect. I didnt quite like my lasagna - it was a bit too dense for me.

Heard the hype… so we needed to check this place out. Made a reservation on a Saturday night on the patio. Small and quaint inside but Extremely impressed in every way!! Old school Italian food w a touch of amazing deliciousness. Perfectly cooked pasta, flavors and ingredients blend in way your mouth will be more than satisfied. Had calamari, meatballs, and a caprese salad, all bomb!!! Orochiette w sausage and rabe and chicken parm. Literal heaven on a plate. This will be a definite revisit anytime we are in town!!

Just had a really lovely time with B-side at our very first supper club! We got to sit outside and the weather was GORGEOUS. The food was amazing too and I enjoyed all of it. The highlights were definitely the arancini, which was crispy and cheesy, as well as the spaghetti and meatballs, which were of very good quality. I’ve had better cannolis at other places I think, but I appreciated them being small and the ratio of pastry to cream was on point. This was easily my favorite meal on my trip to Boston. The food and the atmosphere were equally fantastic — you don’t have to sacrifice one for the other. I thought the price was fair compared to some of the surrounding restaurants too. I loved the bolognese and the mozzarella sticks! There was a homestyle feel that made this spot feel so cozy, warm, and welcoming!

Came here for lunch after seeing it on the Boston morning news, and ended up finding our new favorite Italian spot. We got the calamari, lasagna, rigatoni alla vodka (add chicken cutlet), and orecchiette sausage rabe. House red and white wine were $9 a glass and tasted great. The oil for dipping bread was light, fresh, and perfectly salted. Best dish was by far the lasagna. They put 3 different kinds of meat into it and the Sunday sauce is next level.

Tucked away from the bustling streets of Boston, Tony & Elaine’s offers an authentic Italian dining experience that captivates from the very first bite. Located at 111 N Washington St, this cozy spot embraces a casual yet charming ambiance, reminiscent of a traditional Italian trattoria. The moment you step in, the welcoming vibe sets the stage for a meal rooted in genuine flavor and craftsmanship.

The highlight here is undoubtedly the meatballs—rich, tender, and generously seasoned, they’ve rightfully earned their praise as some of the best in the city. Serving two orders might just become a habit, as one simply isn’t enough to satisfy the craving. Complementing the meatballs, the orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe showcases a perfect balance of savory and slightly bitter greens, delivering a harmonious and memorable pasta dish.

Beyond pasta, the fresh mozzarella and caprese salad are standouts, offering simplicity done impeccably well. The lobster ravioli brings a tasteful freshness, while the fried calamari surprises with a subtle kick of spicy pepper, elevating the classic appetizer. Even the fresh bread holds its own, pairing seamlessly with every course.

The outdoor patio, especially on warm Boston evenings, adds a delightful layer to the overall experience—making it an ideal spot for both casual lunches and sophisticated dinners. Reservations are recommended, as this gem attracts both locals and visitors eager to savor old-school Italian flavors with a touch of modern finesse.

Tony & Elaine’s delivers not just a meal, but a genuine slice of Italy in the heart of Boston. For anyone looking to stray off the crowded main streets and dive into authentic Italian cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit destination that promises lasting impressions with each dish.
